Celebrating The Women Behind California United Strikers FC

In celebration of the 35th Annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD), California United Strikers FC would like to highlight the achievements of the females who impact the club daily. Each of them use their experience, guidance, and success to help our athletes live their dreams of being professional soccer players and we are honored to call them part of our family.

Bronwyn Capriotti - Owner of Cal United Strikers FC

Today we celebrate a strong, selfless woman on a mission to turn dreams into reality.

Bronwyn Capriotti, Orange County native, quickly realized the potential that Southern California had for a men’s professional team that’s fiercely dedicated to local players. After spending many days at the soccer fields watching her son Duncan, Bronwyn saw just how many young players had aspirations (and the quality) to play at the next level. After seeing the lack of opportunity for these athletes, Bronwyn sprung into action.

In founding Cal United Strikers FC, Bronwyn created opportunities for elite local players to live their dreams, and as a result became a role model for girls everywhere that aspire to work in professional sports. Cal United Strikers is beyond grateful for Bronwyn’s dedication, motivation, and care for those around her. Bronwyn has made such an incredible impact in so many lives and we are so proud to have her as our fearless leader. You will always find Bronwyn on the sideline of every game cheering on the players of the incredible organization she has established. Thank you, Bronwyn!

Jordan Marada- Team Operations & Community Relations

Jordan Marada is a Southern California native, growing up in Mission Viejo and playing club soccer for SoCal Blues and Laguna Hills Eclipse where she won a Youth National Championship in 2010. She was a 4 year varsity athlete at Capistrano Valley High School before beginning her collegiate career. She spent 2 years at St. Mary’s College before transferring to USC where she was a captain of the women’s soccer team before graduating in 2014 with a BA in Psychology. After college, Jordan’s professional playing career began and she played 2 seasons in the Czech Republic and 1 season in Japan’s 1st division. Jordan played with the LA Galaxy’s OC women’s team for the past 2 seasons and won a National Championship with them in 2019 in Canada.  While playing, Jordan completed her Master’s Degree in Coaching & Athletic Administration from Concordia University in Irvine. After an achilles tendon operation, Jordan has recently been training in sand soccer and continues to ask Coach Don when she can jump in to training sessions. As she transitions into the business side of sport, Jordan now plays an integral part of Cal United Striker’s front office where she manages the day to day operations of the team and also works to strengthen the connection between the players and the community.

Jill Ayres - Head Athletic Trainer

Jill Ayres is our Head Athletic trainer and treats each player like one of her own!  She makes sure each player is able to perform their best on the pitch each and every day. Jill has quite the resume as she began her career by graduating from Cal State Fullerton and becoming a Certified Athletic Trainer in 1994. She then got her graduate degree from Western Illinois which led her to complete her degree with a project in London for the MLB. Jill stayed in London where she ran her own sports medicine and conditioning business and taught University students. Jill found herself back right where she belongs... on the field with athletes! She currently runs the Human Performance and Sports Med Program at Newport Orthopedic Institute where she gets to hire and train other athletic trainers. We are thankful for Jill for keeping our crew healthy!
