ANOTHER HOMEGROWN TALENT JOINS CAL UNITED STRIKERS FC

16-year-old Brady Treinen joins from the Strikers FC Irvine Academy

ORANGE COUNTY, CA – California United Strikers FC is happy to announce the signing of homegrown talent, 16-year-old Brady Treinen. Treinen joins the club from the Strikers FC Irvine Academy, and will be an excellent addition to current Strikers FC alumnae Christian Thierjung, Shinya Kadono, Shane Kaemerle, and Minjae Kwak.

Treinen comes in as a left back to give Head Coach Don Ebert another talented option to be part of the backline.

"What catches your eye right away with Brady is that he has both the technical and tactical parts of the game down solid," Ebert says. "He reads the game so well for a young pro and because of how solid he is technically, speed of play at this level is no problem for him."

Treinen joined youth club Strikers FC Irvine as his first and only club team and went on to have a successful youth club career, including competing in the MIC Cup in Barcelona against Europe's best academies and an incredible win in 2018 at the Nexen Manchester City Cup against the Girona FC youth team.

He spent the following year abroad in Germany with the TalentProjekt, playing against well known Bundesliga academies.

"I'm really excited for my first professional season," says Treinen. "I'm really looking forward to working with my teammates and making an impact whenever I'm on the field."
