An early Christian Thierjung goal secures the three points.

Irvine, CA – Cal United Strikers FC closed out their September of Soccer with a win at Championship Soccer Stadium against Maryland Bobcats FC on Sunday evening.

Christian Thierjung's second minute goal after a great pass from defender Michael Bryant decided the game.

A solid goalkeeping performance from Jean Antoine ensured another clean sheet for the season.

Head coach Don Ebert made more changes to his starters this week with Shinya Kadono and Tony Lopez reintegrated into the starting XI.

An early onslaught in the first half saw them capitalize with a goal, while the home team will feel begrudged they weren't able to add more in the first 20 minutes.

Our next home game is this Sunday, October 3rd at Championship Soccer Stadium against Chattanooga FC. Kickoff is 4:00 PM PST. Tickets can be found: calunitedstrikers.com/tickets.
