POINTS SHARED AT HOME IN FINAL GAME OF 6-GAME HOME STRETCH

Omar Nuno continues to add to his tally in the NISA Fall 2021 Golden Boot race.

Irvine, CA – Cal United Strikers FC ended a 6-game home strech with a draw against visitors Chattanooga FC.

Omar Nuno's first half goal was canceled out late in the second half.

Despite being a man up for the last 20 minutes, Cal United Strikers weren't able to make their dominance count.

Head coach Don Ebert brought back Duncan Capriotti into the starting XI, as Chile Araneda filled in for Michael Bryant in an unfamiliar right back position.

Cal United Strikers continued their trend of starting games on the front foot, with a flurry chances culminating in Omar Nuno's opener.

Christian Thierjung picked up a deflection and was able to slip in Nuno to continue to add to his assist tally to his season.

Unfortunately the lead was short lived as Chattanooga FC was able to equalize against the run of play.

Despite a second yellow awarded to Chattanooga FC in the second half, Cal United Strikers struggled to find the net despite the bulk of possession.

Our next home game is Saturday, October 16th at Championship Soccer Stadium against Stumptown AC. Kickoff is 7:00 PM PST. Tickets can be found: calunitedstrikers.com/tickets.
